ABOUT ASHWANI VERMA

Presently, I am engaged as a Project Officer with UNDP, India supporting the implementation of a largest Public Health Intervention, U-WIN platform for the eligible beneficiaries (Pregnant Women and Children aged 0-5 years). As a Data Scientist at ADB, Immunization Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, I apply my expertise in data analysis and visualization to support the implementation and evaluation of immunization programs in India. I work with a multidisciplinary team of public health professionals, policymakers, and partners to provide evidence-based insights and recommendations for improving vaccine coverage, equity, and quality. I also design and develop data management systems, dashboards, and reports to monitor and communicate program performance and outcomes. I am also trained in conducting secondary research such as Systematic Reviews, Meta- analysis, Evidence and Gap Maps, Scoping Reviews and Narrative Reviews. I am also pursuing my PhD in Population Health Informatics at DIT University, where I am conducting research on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. My research aims to develop a Home based self management informatics tool for COPD patients and improve their health outcomes. I use various statistical software and tools, such as SPSS, STATA, Epicollect, and EPPI-Reviewer, to conduct data collection, analysis, and interpretation. My research contributes to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the field of public health informatics and chronic disease management.
