About Ashrita Saran
Dr Ashrita Saran is the Deputy Director of the Evaluation and Evidence Synthesis Programme at the Global Development Network (GDN) and was previously the Executive Director of Campbell South Asia. In addition to leading multidisciplinary research teams, she has been responsible for evidence-synthesis projects designed to support evidence use. She has coordinated, managed and led projects funded by international organisations such as the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH), the UNICEF Research Innocenti office, the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Research interests include economic evaluations, climate change, disability and inclusion, and women & child well-being. She is also an Editor at the International Development Coordinating Group at Campbell Collaboration and associate editor health research and policy systems. She is pursuing PhD in International Public Health from Walden University, USA and hold several certifications in data analysis, gender analytics, and report writing. She is passionate about improving the lives of marginalised and vulnerable populations through evidence-informed decision-making and collaborative action.
