ABOUT ARUN S KAIMALIL

I am Dr. Arun S Kaimalil, a Political Science researcher specialising in Child Rights, Human Rights, Coastal Community Studies, Urban Livelihoods, and Socio-Economic Policy. I earned my Ph.D. from Mahatma Gandhi University, where my research titled “Child Rights and Coastal Communities in Kerala” explored development, rights, and vulnerability among coastal children.I currently serve as a Field Investigator for an ICSSR-funded Minor Research Project at the Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon Interdisciplinary Centre for Research Ethics & Protocols (ICREP), CUSAT, working on the project “Legal Framework and the Socio-Economic Conditions of Street Vendors in Ernakulam.”Previously, I worked as a Research Intern at the National Human Rights Commission of India, and I actively review scholarly articles for IJRISS and IJRSI. I am also a registered United Nations Volunteer.I have contributed to a range of academic publications, including articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. I have also presented my research papers at various national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops.My academic interests include: Child Rights & Human Rights Coastal Communities & Sustainable Development Gender, Education & Social Justice Public Policy & Governance Socio-Economic Research Research Methodology and SPSS Climate Change & Vulnerability Studies Urban Livelihoods & Street VendorsI am currently open to opportunities in:Research Assistant | Research Analyst | Teaching (Political Science)| Project Fellow | Human Rights Research | Policy Research
