I am a Senior Orthopaedic & Joint Replacement Surgeon with over 26 years of clinical experience, specialising in knee preservation, joint replacement, and robotic-assisted knee surgery. Over the years, I have treated patients, performed joint replacement surgeries, and completed 800+ robotic knee replacement procedures.My surgical philosophy is simple: joint replacement is not just a mechanical procedure—it is a quality-of-life decision. Every surgery must be individualised, ethically indicated, and outcome-driven. I strongly believe that technology should support clinical judgment, not replace it, and that long-term function matters far more than numbers alone.I am an advanced user and trainer of the VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Knee Replacement System, with a focused interest in patient-specific alignment, accurate bone preparation, soft-tissue balancing, and predictable outcomes. My approach to robotic surgery emphasises precision, safety, reproducibility, and patient confidence.Teaching and mentorship are central to my professional journey. I have trained more than 500 orthopaedic surgeons, guiding them through the transition from conventional techniques to robotic-assisted knee replacement. I regularly conduct hands-on training programs, live surgery demonstrations, workshops, and one-on-one mentorship sessions. I am often described as a well-eased robotic trainer, known for clarity, approachability, and structured teaching.I serve as a faculty member and regional trainer for robotic knee replacement programs across India and Southeast Asia, and regularly participate as a panelist and speaker at orthopaedic conferences, CMEs, and robotic surgery forums. I contribute actively to discussions on ethical adoption of technology, surgeon learning curves, and patient-centric outcomes.I also collaborate with IIT Madras students on medical–engineering and robotics initiatives, mentoring them in bridging engineering innovation with real-world clinical application.I currently practice at Prashanth Hospital, Bharathi Raja Hospital, and Bloom Hospital, maintaining consistent surgical protocols, transparency, and a strong emphasis on follow-up care.At my core, I see myself as a surgeon, teacher, and mentor—guided by one belief:Movement is Life.
