About Ann Miles
I have spent 30+ amazing years in education. The first five were teaching 7th graders Language Arts, then 15 years at the high school level. I was fortunate to have been given assignments to teach radio broadcasting, communication, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), and Jobs for Arizona’s Graduates (JAG), both college preparatory classes. Finally, for three years, I worked as a Student Prevention/Intervention Specialist in an inner city high school. I earned a master’s degree in counseling in and a doctorate in education in 2013. My dissertation focused on adolescent behaviors in the classroom. I am very grateful for the opportunity to teach communication at Phoenix College for the last several years as an adjunct professor of communication. I\'m slowing my pace a bit, and I\'d like to seek a part-time remote position in education or research.
