ABOUT ANN JOHNSON

My role as former Assistant Professor and Pediatric dentist in India, blended academic rigor with real-world application, nurturing the next generation of dental professionals. My focus was primarily on preventive care and patient education to ensure the youngest patients embrace dental health from the start. Armed with an MDS from Kerala University of Health Sciences, India and multiple WHO and associated certifications, I champion pediatric dentistry with a specialty in orthodontics and endodontics and full mouth rehabilitation of children with special health care needs under local and general anesthesia through various pharmacological and non-pharmocological behaviour management methods. I actively engaged in research focused on advancing pediatric dental care, contributing to studies on oral health interventions and its preventative aspects. I took on significant administrative responsibilities, including curriculum development, managing departmental activities, and coordinating with faculty to enhance program efficiency and academic standards. Community outreach was another key aspect of my position, as I collaborated with local health organizations and schools to promote dental health awareness, organized free dental camps for underserved communities, and mentored students in delivering compassionate, community-focused care.I currently work as a Pension Advisor at Lloyds Banking Group, Edinburgh when I moved to UK in 2024 where I support customers by accurately and securely processing pension payments. My role centres on maintaining strict confidentiality, ensuring compliance, and delivering a smooth, reassuring experience for customers accessing their pension benefits.This position has strengthened my communication skills, deepened my knowledge of financial products, and allowed me to make a meaningful impact on customers’ long-term financial wellbeing.I am actively seeking opportunities in research and administrative assistance. With a strong foundation in life sciences and a keen interest in advancing healthcare practices, I am eager to contribute to innovative research projects and support administrative functions that enhance the efficiency and impact of dental organizations. My skills in organization, data analysis, and team collaboration, paired with a passion for continuous learning, make me a valuable asset to any team in the dental or healthcare sector.
