ABOUT ANN DENKLER

Synthesizing complex ideas, writing persuasively, and formulating and defending original points of view on a daily basis both for my audiences and my own publications drive my work. I constantly rethink and reinterpret fact and hypothesis so that my students, colleagues, and professional associates can better digest what they are learning. I believe that one of my strengths is my ability to “translate” complex and challenging ideas not only on paper through publications, but also in lectures and exhibitions to wide audiences.I thrive in team-oriented, dynamic environments devoted to vigorous research, educational outreach, curriculum development, and engaging training methods including e-learning. Leadership, cooperation, and professionalism stand at the center of my working life. I am a devoted project manager and team-builder who has developed courses including cutting-edge traditional, hybrid, blended, and online modalities and innovative methodologies including flipped, experiential, and continuous learning. I incorporate scholarship, student feedback, and institutional assessment expectations into curriculum creation, and I wholeheartedly embrace the theory that leadership is a dynamic process that requires creativity, cooperation, and a thorough knowledge of target audiences. My current position requires that I perform extensive outreach efforts into myriad academic and business communities, as well as foster an acute and active grasp of current educational policy issues. Thus, I understand well the challenges of “translating” learning goals and outcomes into products that are intellectually accessible to a variety of audiences. I thrive in this kind of team-based work environment and welcome the opportunities to cultivate relationships with teachers, educational institutions, and businesses. I have served as a Fulbright Teaching Scholar in India and gained a rich understanding of cultural difference. I also learned how to build meaningful and respectful relationships within a range of communities, including government officials and local schools. Above all, I am dedicated to helping organizations and individuals meet their professional goals as they relate to empowerment and education.
