ABOUT ANGELIKA HELLWEGER

As a dual-qualified professional in England, Wales, and Austria, I am well-equipped with outstanding legal acumen to guide junior lawyers in major investigation projects. Through in-depth assessments of evidence and sensitivity-focused interviews, I am able to effectively represent high-profile clients on an international scale. By leveraging a keen and analytical mindset, I possess a talent for problem-solving and strategy design. Throughout my career history, I have achieved positive results for clients in white-collar crime, commercial litigation, and ethics and compliance cases. As an influential communicator, I am able to form key networks and sustainable relationships with multi-level stakeholders, such as clients, law enforcement agencies, and government entities. As Legal Director at Rahman Ravelli, I advise corporates on regulatory and compliance matters, manage offensive asset tracing and recovery litigation and work in the firm’s highly-regarded cryptocurrency team. I work on cases involving environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues and coordinate work for international conglomerates in this field. As part of Rahman Ravelli’s international sanctions team, I assess the potential impact of all relevant laws and export controls. I keep up to speed with the rapidly-evolving rules and regulations to ensure clients adopt the correct approach to sanctions and do not face the prospect of prosecution or financial penalty. Much of my sanctions practice is particularly focused on enforcement activities and the freezing and seizure of assets.
