PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as thought partner to the CEO in determining and executing the strategic direction of the Foundation. Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the Impact Team comprised of professionals across departments, including programs, development, finance, and marketing. Oversee, direct, and organize the work of Programs Department, including five professional, full-time directors and managers in the areas of grantmaking and scholarships, nonprofit capacity building, volunteer management. Plan and facilitate various standing meetings for professional staff, including Department Meeting (weekly), Impact Team Meeting (biweekly), All-Staff Impact Team Meeting (monthly), and Team Huddle (monthly). Plan and facilitate meetings and engagement of community volunteers on the Distribution Committee and Regional Impact Advisory Committee. Uplift trust-based philanthropy principles and practices to shift the paradigm of the traditional relationship between funders and nonprofit organizations. Ensure commitment to racial equity through changes in grantmaking practices, a racial equity lens across all decision-making at the Foundation. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS Responsible for the organizational assessment and creation of the Impact Team to integrate the grantmaking and development work of the Foundation. Developed and executed model to develop staff credo, including survey feedback, small group input, large group discussion, data analysis, and synthesization of feedback. Secured trust and credibility with staff across the Foundation, demonstrated through frequent, generous and positive feedback on my leadership in the areas of organizational culture, strategic direction, and facilitation of multiple key priorities in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment. Successfully led staff team in a year-long process to secure reaccreditation through the Council on Foundations National Standards program.
