In my current role as Director of AI Compiler Engineering I\'m responsible for technically and organisationally managing Axelera AI\'s team of compiler experts and the compiler stack itself. My responsibility starts at the ONNX/PyTorch ingestion level all the way to generating binary code for our Digital-In-Memory-Compute (D-IMC) based dedicated accelerator with RISC-V units. It is my mission to ensure that Axelera AI is providing best-in-class performance and functional support to our growing customer base.

ABOUT ANDREAS BYTYN

I am an electrical engineer with a passion for complex digital systems that span both the hardware and software domain. It is only with true HW/SW/Application co-design that we can sustain the performance and efficiency gains seen in past decades.I have experience in leading and mentoring international multi-site teams of engineers from various disciplines (HW, SW, Architecture). Having successfully acted as project lead in the past, I am familiar both with the planning and execution of technically challenging projects. My technical experience covers digital hardware design (e.g. development of high-performance low-power custom processors) down to the placed and routed chip, embedded software (low-level kernels and drivers), as well as algorithm implementation and optimization (e.g. neural network quantization and implementation of MIMO algorithms). The primary domains that I have worked in the past are artificial intelligence (AI) and wireless communication. Lately, I have deepened my knowledge in the domain of AI / NN compilers for heterogeneous systems.
