ABOUT AMOL GITE

Dr. Amol Gite is an AI transformation strategist and healthcare leader whose career uniquely spans advanced artificial intelligence, healthcare deliverytransformation and clinical dentistry.He currently serves as VP – Operations & AI Partnerships at BharatGen, India’s pioneering Sovereign AI initiative anchored at IIT Bombay and supported by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY). At BharatGen, he leads national-scale collaborations focused on deploying the foundational building blocks of India’s first sovereign, multilingual AI systems. His mandate includes driving real-world AI use case delivery, enabling strategic partnerships, overseeing large-scale data acquisition for Indian languages and cultural contexts, and supporting early deployments of indigenous text, speech, and document-understanding models aimed at strengthening India’s self-reliance in generative AI.Dr. Gite is known for translating complex AI capabilities into practical, clinically meaningful solutions. As Director – Projects at Miimansa AI, he led the development of generative AI applications for clinical research, automating the authoring of high-impact regulatory documents including Clinical Protocols, Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), and Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs). He also architected data pipelines and clinical data warehouse frameworks that helped Indian healthcare organizations transition from unstructured to structured data ecosystems, accelerating Real-World Evidence (RWE) adoption.His operational foundation was built across leading Indian institutions including Breach Candy Hospital Trust, Hinduja Hospital, Wockhardt Hospitals, and Reliance Hospital, where he held senior leadership roles for over a decade.With deep exposure to US healthcare systems, he previously served as AVP – Operations at IKS Health, managing P&L for major accounts such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Advocate Aurora Health, and CareMount Medical. Leading teams of over 600 clinicians, he delivered large-scale clinical support solutions—including virtual scribe services—that enhanced physician productivity and reduced burnout.An alumnus of TISS, IIM Bangalore, and ISB, Dr. Gite continues to contribute to academia as a Visiting Faculty at TISS, where he teaches Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS) and Digital Health, helping shape the next generation of healthcare leaders at the intersection of medicine and AI.
