ABOUT AMIRA LAGHA
I am Dr. Amira Lagha, a 2025 PhD graduate in Education from the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), where my research examined interdisciplinary collaboration in ESP and EMI. I have taught as an Associate Lecturer at UWS, delivering workshops and lectures in social/qualitative research and modern history.Currently, I work as a Recruitment Resourcer, engaging with candidates from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and supporting HR processes. I am keen to build a long-term career that combines my interests in academia, research, recruitment, and HR.My background includes experience in teaching and interpretation—supporting Ukrainian refugee groups at the University of Strathclyde, teaching Arabic in a private school, and volunteering as an English–Arabic interpreter for the Arab community.I am multilingual, fluent in Arabic, English, and French, with additional reading and writing skills in Spanish and German. I am passionate about education, language, social research, Recruitment and fostering inclusive, cross-cultural communication.
