About Amanda Ensor

Dr. Amanda Ensor is a veterinarian, keynote speaker, and veterinary thought leader known for her commitment to patient care, strong standards of medicine, and the well-being of the people who make veterinary care possible. She began her career in general practice, where a deep respect for both animals and veterinary teams shaped her approach to medicine and leadership. Over time, her curiosity evolved into a larger mission: examining why veterinary medicine operates the way it does and advocating for meaningful change in systems that no longer serve teams, patients, or the profession.Driven by a belief that healthy teams deliver better medicine, Dr. Ensor co-founded a mentoring organization in her community and later worked as a full-time mentor to early-career veterinarians, helping guide professionals through growth, leadership challenges, and career transitions while championing mentorship as essential to sustainable veterinary medicine. Most recently, she served as Senior Manager of Clinical Learning, focusing on leadership development, team well-being, and strengthening standards of care across a large veterinary organization. These experiences reinforced her belief that lasting change comes from investing in people, re-examining outdated structures, and equipping leaders to build psychologically safe, accountable, and resilient teams.Today, Dr. Ensor brings this perspective to audiences both within and beyond veterinary medicine as a keynote speaker. Her work centers on leadership, mentorship, culture, and change management—helping organizations unlock engagement, strengthen teams, and retain their best talent through practical, actionable strategies grounded in real-world experience. As Ernesto Dominguez, Managing Veterinarian at Bell Creek Veterinary Hospital, shared, “Amanda is a clear and confident communicator… an engaging, assertive, and clear communicator who knows how to inspire teams while delivering practical leadership tools.”Kathleen McBain, Manager of Clinical Learning at National Veterinary Associates, added, “Amanda should be in every room… her leadership and drive for developing a veterinary community that supports one another is needed now more than ever.”Whether speaking to veterinary professionals, healthcare teams, or leadership audiences outside the industry, Dr. Ensor’s message remains consistent: when we invest in people, we elevate performance, strengthen culture, and improve the care we deliver.
