I am a nanobiotechnology researcher and educator with strong international research exposure and a proven track record in translating fundamental nano–bio interactions into deployable diagnostics, biosensors, and biomimetic nanomaterials.Currently, I serve as Scientist Grade-II at NUCSER, Nitte (Deemed to be University), where I established and lead the Nanobiotechnology Laboratory. My research focuses on nanoparticle assemblies, glycan-functionalized nanoparticles, biosensors, and biomimetic nanosystems for applications spanning clinical diagnostics, infectious diseases, environmental monitoring, and food safety.I am a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow (EU Horizon 2020) with prior research experience at the University of Leeds, UK, where my work on polyvalent glyco-nanoparticles contributed to understanding and inhibiting virus–host interactions (HIV, Ebola). My research integrates nanomaterials synthesis, surface chemistry, protein–glycan interactions, bioassays, and translational sensor development.Research & Impact Highlights• Principal Investigator on multiple competitive grants from DST-SERB, ICMR, UGC, DBT, with ₹2+ crore in funded research• 35+ peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals (JACS, Biosensors & Bioelectronics, Nanoscale, Sensors & Actuators B)• Multiple patents in nanoparticle-based diagnostics and biodegradable nanomaterials• Active collaborations with IIT Guwahati, KGMU Lucknow, Mahatma Gandhi University, and clinical partnersTeaching & MentorshipI teach Biochemistry and Nanobiotechnology at UG and PG levels and currently supervise 4 PhD scholars working on biosensors, virus-mimicking nanoparticles, nanosponges, and point-of-care diagnostics.
