Designing the mission concept and developing the technology roadmap for a mission to Mars that could demonstrate the building blocks of terraforming. My work involves coordination with external collaborators at Stanford, MIT and Northwestern University as well as engagement with potential mission partners at NASA, SpaceX and within the wider industry. I am focused on the following areas for an early 2030s surface payload- Defining the mission concept, science traceability matrix and instrument selection- Sizing the payload and all engineering budgets- Defining programme schedule and mission timelines- Engaging with potential partners and funding bodies- Preparing documentation for mission reviews
