With over a decade in the water environment and flood risk sector, spanning consultancy,academia, and the third sector, I have extensive experience in river and wetland restoration, flood risk and erosion control, and natural flood management. I have also contributed to feasibility studies for stream daylighting and fish pass design. My technical expertise includes hydrology, flood risk assessment, and geomorphology, supported by proficiency in hydraulic modelling, GIS, CAD, and MS Project for design and project planning.I have acted as technical lead and project manager on complex, multidisciplinary projects, leading tenders, bids, programmes and budgets, planning for and managing change, and managing sub-consultants and supply chain partners. I am well-versed in quality assurance procedures.In my role as designer I follow CDM regulations, having produced designers’ riskassessments. I am also experienced in supporting with permitting for projects, including for Town and Country Planning Act applications, flood risk activity permits, and inenvironmental statements for nationally significant infrastructure projects). My experience includes site surveys and visits to support design and liaise with construction teams. My work ensures compliance with SHEQ standards and delivering innovative, buildable solutions.
