In my current role at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, I\'ve been at the forefront of critical national security projects as part of the Cyber Security Engineering & Architecture team at the National Ignition Facility (NIF). Leading interdisciplinary teams, I’ve identified vulnerabilities in OT and IT networks, bolstering security measures and mitigating risks. Initiatives to harden operating systems, coupled with robust monitoring practices, resulted in scalable risk reduction strategies.Embracing a data-driven approach, I championed the pursuit of development opportunities, bringing cutting-edge security solutions to fruition. My expertise in security architecture, particularly zero-trust architecture, played a pivotal role in implementing robust security measures at NIF.Simultaneously, my role as a Data Engineer & Analytics specialist at NIF, I leveraged Splunk to craft dynamic dashboards as well as optimized data capture. The implementation of highly effective data processing architectures not only enhanced big data analytics capabilities but also improved data visualization for informed decision-making.In my past position as an Enterprise Security Architect at California Lottery, I adeptly communicated complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Implementing advanced security analytic solutions, performing penetration tests, and designing forward-looking security strategies were integral parts of my responsibilities. Piloting cutting-edge solutions and delivering comprehensive reports on critical security issues further solidified my role in enhancing cyber security capabilities.At Franchise Tax Board as an Information Security Analyst, I ensured the high availability of log collection and correlation in SIEM. Automation of information security auditing processes and the establishment of data loss prevention rules showcased my commitment to efficiency and compliance.
