Reporting to the President & CEO, I lead the organization’s external affairs portfolio, including communications, marketing, government relations, and stakeholder engagement. As part of the executive team, I help shape long-term strategy, enhance brand reputation, and secure public and private partnerships that drive community impact. I lead a high-performing team focused on modernizing a 180-year-old brand, deepening community trust, and advancing the YMCA’s role in shaping Calgary’s future.Key achievements- Secured $4M+ in government funding for capital projects through multi-year advocacy strategies- Launched YMCA’s first employee & culture communications plan, improving engagement- Helped reinforce YMCA Calgary\'s position as a thought leader in childcare policy - Introduced new brand platform to elevate awareness of the YMCA as a modern charity- Oversaw digital transformation initiatives, including a user-centric website that increased traffic and conversions- Led successful public launches for performing arts and e-sports, two firsts for YMCAs in Canada
