   The Enterprise Architecture & Standards group helps to identify the links between business goals, capabilities, processes and functions and the technologies that help achieve them. This allows for discovery of gaps in support of these requirements, that can be closed using new technologies, or finding ways in which consolidating existing technologies could help improve efficiency and lower costs. In addition, the Enterprise Architect has a strong role in discovering and developing standards (hardware, software, industry) for the company, building governance processes to help keep those standards up to date, and develop compliance processes to help developers, application owners and the business users understand how well-supported their applications are.Most recently my focus has been on architecture, data modeling and integration for Disney\'s large and complex ServiceNow ITSM/SACM/ITOM implementation, including designing a major transition project from a customized implementation of Business Applications to an out-of-the-box experience, in order to reduce technical debt and maintenance costs.I architected and maintained the ServiceNow data model through multiple application design and update projects, helping to reduce overall complexity while focusing on end-user requirements.As part of the new Enterprise Architecture & Standards group, I have helped implement the basic capabilities of the team, including leading the design of our capabilities taxonomy and governance processes.
