Directly report to the president of Delphi Wiring PBU (business) • Establish and manage all global engineering technology development resources for DEEDS (Delphi E/E Distribution System) • Manage Megatrend Technology Review Process throughout the year • Establish and manage Megatrend implications and key strategies for technology innovation roadmap pipeline • Create strong link between Customer Technology Roadmap and Delphi technology roadmap • Ensure robustness of the product/process innovation pipeline to enable winning new businesses and to successfully launch businesses on time • Manage all global technology product/process development projects through disciplined project gate approval and exit (~200 projects) – TDP (technology development process) and ADP (advanced development process) • Establish Key Projects around disruptive technologies for the future – long term R&D • Manage Global Intellectual Property application and maintenance process – monthly IP review • Update leadership and CBU on key innovation progress with linkages to business/customer needs and Megatrends • Establish and maintain strong customer link for collaborative technology development • Support major customer technology reviews and shows for establishing content and staffing – working with marketing and CBU team • Establish strong development partnership with key suppliers and universities • Ensure the seamless alignment of all three product lines (DEEDS/DCS/DEC) for complete E/E Architecture solutions
