About Dimitri Dounas-Frazer

I am a WA State-certified Physics Teacher in the Science Department at Lakeside Upper School. I completed my Ph.D. in Physics at the University of California Berkeley in 2012 and my Master in Teaching at the University of Washington Seattle in 2025. My professional physics experience includes secondary and post-secondary teaching; teacher preparation; and experimental, theoretical, and educational research. I am an active member of the American Association of Physics Teachers, through which I have participated in several national-scale efforts to make physics education more inclusive, equitable, and accessible to students and teachers.
