About Doug Tschirhart
Since he was a kid, Douglas W Tschirhart had a passion to make movies and tell stories. From drawing and learning animation techniques, to shooting home movies, learning make-up techniques, and playing pretend with his friends, it led him on a path to becoming a filmmaker. With over two decades of diverse experience in the video and film industry, Doug has evolved into a Creative Producer, actively involved in developing, directing, and producing a wide array of projects, including feature films, short films, commercials, music videos, and events.In 2009, Doug graduated from film school with a BFA in digital film production. His professional journey commenced as an Assistant Director on various features and shorts, alongside serving as a Segment Producer for AXStv\'s \"YourCountryTV\" show.Prior to establishing his production company, Doug successfully managed multiple AMC Theatres in Central Florida, cultivating relationships with studios and distributors. In 2014, he co-founded Scatter Brothers Productions, a venture that has contributed to the production of over 500 commercials, films, and television projects. In 2019, Doug co-founded SBVR, a 360/virtual reality content company, forging a partnership with Kodak.His portfolio includes the production of feature films such as \"Hot Mess in a Wedding Dress\"(2019),\"The Pet Detectives\"(starring Sean Astin, 2022),\"i feel fine\"(starring Corin Nemec and Dean Cain), and \"Saint Nick of Bethlehem\"(starring Cathy Moriarty and Daniel Roebuck) in 2023. Currently, Doug has four films in various stages of development or pre-production.In addition to feature films, Doug has directed, edited, and/or produced several award-winning short films, including \"Euphoria,\"\"Pocket Full of Gold,\"\"Red Winter,\"\"Daryl and His Friends,\" and \"The Island.”Currently, Doug serves as the Programming Director for the Sunscreen Film Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida, now in its 19th year.
