I thrive on executing sound business strategies to achieve business goals and deliver shareholder value.Throughout my career I have gained valuable retail experience in both specialty and wholesale markets. I understand the importance of speed-to-market in a highly competitive retail industry and create solid strategies that deliver quality product. As a result, I have had many successes including:*Introducing scalable best-in-class processes and sourcing matrix focused on development of intimate apparel product for Soma Intimates*Developing quality, fashion-driven intimate apparel product achieving $400M through effective negotiation and costing*Spearheading an RFP process to rationalize supplier base for $800M in landed cost, driving strategic supplier relationships*Strategized our global footprint to identified emerging markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to balance penetration in the China marketMy diverse background allows me to transition across the retail sector in wholesale, specialty, vendor and suppliers. I have expertise in sportswear (knits and wovens), intimate apparel, sleepwear, robes, loungewear and children\'s wear. I excel at developing a sustainable and diverse vendor base and understand the complexities of streamlining the production process to achieve cost-savings thru margin and IMU improvements.No problem or challenge is too big or too small. I like to problem-solve and find a better, more efficient way. By analyzing sourcing and production operations, I identify opportunities for improvement and lead change initiatives by working with cross-functional leaders. I play a pivotal role in providing guidance to senior leaders on sourcing strategies, executing innovative solutions. I consistently evaluate vendor performance to ensure adherence to business ethics and standards.One of my greatest passions is to develop and mentor others.
