About Doug Banda

My career as an R&D scientist is driven by altruism and curiosity. The former underscores my devotion to helping those suffering from disease, while the latter has manifested in my research of the physicochemical properties of RNA, DNA, and proteins.Currently, I lead a small team of process development scientists at BMS in our Gene Delivery and Editing Process Development group. Together we enable the production of gene editing raw materials for cell and gene therapies, with a focus on optimizing quality and safety, while minimizing the cost of development and manufacturing.I am always open to collaborative opportunities with others that are interested in viewing unmet biological challenges through a chemical lens.
