Serves as the legal representative of the Board in the management of the Corporation and is subject to the provisions of the Home’s Articles of Incorporation, its By-laws, and any limitations imposed by the Board. Provides executive leadership so as to assure the quality of its performance as a social ministry of the AL Presbyteries of the Presbyterian Church (USA.) Provide leadership in the vision and implementation of the Strategic Plan for the agency. Serve as the head of staff providing direction and supervision to both program and support staff. Directs the hiring, training, evaluating and dismissing of staff. Insure that all personnel affairs are conducted in accordance with the Home’s personnel policies and all federal and state laws/regulations related to employment.Supervises the agency’s fiscal affairs to include the development of operating capital budgets, monthly and annual financial reports, and other fiscally related matters. Insures that all policies, procedures and practices are in compliance with all regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over the licensing and operations of the agency. Ensures all staff are properly trained and that all programs provide the best care possible for their respective clients and operate according to the state or national standards of best practices. Oversees the Continuous Quality Improvement Process for the agency, monitoring the goals and outcomes and measures established for each respective program and department. The President, who is the face and voice of the ministry, maintains a high profile among the individual churches, presbyteries, and other church related groups. Ensures the agency is capturing sufficient funding through donations, grants, contracts, estate gifts, for all programs and capital expenditures. Plans, implements, and monitors all promotional material, presentations, and internet sites to assure the most effective messaging.
