About Douglas Mahoney
For almost 30 years I have represented people who were injured or killed by the negligence of others. The vast majority of my clients are referred to me by former clients who felt that they were treated by me with respect and care. In addition, I have had the privilege of representing and advocating for many survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Included in that group of clients is a man who was sexually assaulted as a child by his doctor. I received a multi million dollar jury verdict for that man. In affirming that verdict, the Connecticut Supreme Court in the case of Tim Doe v. St. Francis Hospital established for the first time a duty that institutions have to affirmatively protect children in their care.
