WORK HISTORY
Vice President, Awards, Compliance & Operational Excellence @Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation
Washington, DC, US
I’m a leader energized by being part of an organization that’s making a difference in the world. I’m experienced in making operational support more efficient and effective, with expertise in grantmaking, procurement, international operations, compliance, and risk management. I\'ve worked with many donors and their requirements, especially USAID, CDC, PEPFAR, and Global Fund. I’m adept at building collaborative teams across departments and countries to accomplish goals.I lead worldwide functions that support operations and am accountable for $60 M annually in grants and procurements, which are accomplished in an efficient, effective, and compliant manner. I’m leading a strategic initiative to implement an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to dramatically improve financial management. I chaired our strategic planning team that produced a new strategic plan. I’m very knowledgeable of U.S. Government assistance regulations (2 CFR 200) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). I develop training approaches to ensure employees have working knowledge to comply with donor rules and laws. I ensure contractual risks are well managed, review and sign incoming awards from donors, and have unlimited signature authority for outgoing contracts. Prior to joining the nonprofit sector, I had a successful Federal career at the Office of Management and Budget, Government Accountability Office, and U.S. Department of Justice. My work gave me skills and experience in grantmaking, contracting, planning, evaluation, auditing, budgeting, and legal analysis. I’ve earned a Master’s degree from Harvard, a Bachelor’s degree from Duke, studied at Oxford, and earned a certification in Corporate Compliance and Ethics—International.
