ABOUT DOUGLAS TYNAN
Throughout the years, I\'ve focused my talents on system administration, production control, change control, change management, service management, incident management, and data security. In a nutshell, I’m the pro that makes sure the lights are on, the doors are open, the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. My system administration expertise is on the IBM iSeries (IBMi, AS400), which I began working on in 1990. My Change Control/Management specialties include ITIL and COBIT fundamentals, and I am adept at SOx and SOC internal and external auditing. For SDLC knowledge, I ensure all changes to any system are properly documented, tested, user accepted, and reviewed with a proper cross section of I.T. personnel. I analyze risk assessment for all changes, am the liaison between I.T. and the external users/stakeholders, or anyone on an interfacing application/system that may be impacted by any change of software/OS/hardware. I’ve been heavily involved in RCA (Root Cause Analysis), H/A testing and the I.T. planning and co-ordination of major planned outages. I am a valuable and central resource within an I.T. department, managing change for systems from cradle to grave.
