ABOUT DOUGLAS M. MILLER
Doug handles securities litigation, global investigations and white collar defense matters. He is a veteran trial lawyer who has taken complex securities and criminal matters to trial and won. Before joining the firm, he served as the head of the Trial Unit in the SEC’s Los Angeles Regional Office, where he oversaw all the enforcement actions filed in US district court and all administrative proceedings. With over 50 cases on its docket, he was in charge of one of the SEC’s busiest trial units, covering Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii and Guam. Before the SEC, Doug spent more than a decade at the United States Attorney\'s Office in Los Angeles, where he worked in the Public Corruption and Civil Rights Section. He served as lead counsel on several of that office\'s most high-profile cases. Doug is a highly decorated trial lawyer and has received several awards for his many trial and prosecution victories, including the United States Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service, the California Lawyer’s Attorney of the Year (CLAY) Award, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director’s Award and the United States Attorney General’s John Marshall Award.
