My responsibilities as a bookseller are split between customer service and organization of the shop, including the shop floor, stock and database. • My verbal communication skills have proven to be particularly useful.• Understanding what a customer might be looking for and using my knowledge of literature as well as taking full advantage of our database to help the customer, represents the majority of my day-to-day tasks. • Other tasks include fulfilling customer click-and-collect orders, and general organization of the shop floor, i.e. keeping the sections orderly so it is as efficient as possible.
