I lead Business Intelligence and Analytics — and I’m still very much in the work.Most of my time is spent designing and building semantic models and reports, writing SQL, shaping metrics, and creating analytics that people actually trust and use. I serve as the final decision‑maker on schema design, business logic, and metric definitions — ensuring financial and core metrics are exact, auditable, and consistent. I care deeply about correctness, clarity, and owning the details. I’m biased toward simplicity and sustainability. If a model, report, or solution is too complex to understand, maintain, or explain six months from now, it’s probably the wrong design. I intentionally keep backend models as simple as possible and use as few words as necessary in the presentation layer so users aren’t lost in ambiguous or misleading visuals. Analytics should reduce cognitive load, not add to it.I treat analytics as a product, end‑to‑end. That means thinking not just about what we build today, but whether it can be supported, extended, and evolved tomorrow. Adoption, longevity, and trust matter more to me than cleverness. I’m all‑in on AI. My work has driven more practical AI functionality into the business than any other area, and I actively share what we learn with other change makers beyond the Analytics area. I focus on real, usable AI — applied to semantic models, reporting, automation, and decision‑making — not experimentation for its own sake or talking a big game with no depth.I want to stay in the weeds — designing and building data models, writing SQL, and owning the details — while also setting direction, raising the bar, and pushing the organization forward.
