ABOUT DOUG CLARKE
Developing great software in today\'s world is very challenging. It requires a focus on what your customers need today and what you believe they will need in the future. I really enjoy tackling this challenge head-on combining the technical and business aspects of software engineering. My primary experience is in the evolution of developer frameworks bridging open source with commercial solutions. As a product manager I work closely with development but am also able to engage with customers to solve their problems. This combination of internal facing product direction with customer engagement is what I believe leads to the best possible solutions.I am currently focused on using my experience to guide the development, deliver, and management of Cloud Based solution on-premise in the customer\'s data centre. This is a combination of custom built components, off the shelf solution, and integration of the Oracle Cloud\'s IaaS and PaaS control plane onto a custom hardware platform. This has proven quite challenging but has also been a great way to expand my experience and deliver a billion dollar new business to Oracle in only a few short years.My goal is to work with an energetic and innovative team who has fun and delivers great software. I want to work on a team where I can both contribute and learn.
