   Fidelity is one of the largest mutual fund companies in the USA in a heavily regulated zero-trust least-privilege industry. Among many other financial services, they provide trading and brokerage services. I work with the next generation of their flagship professional trading application, Active Trader Pro… a multi-threaded.Net Maui Windows and Mac desktop application that provides a myriad of financial trading tools. As an architect and team/track lead of developers within an Agile environment, and with a significant focus on application security and performance, my team is primarily responsible for the architecture and development of the new Alerts tool, development of the Level 2 tool, the architecture and re-engineering of the data streaming News tool, all the associated APIs, all the related unit tests, and all the related GitHub Actions pipeline checks. The Redux pattern is used for all state management. Additional activities involved the debugging of and the heavy lifting of various aspects of the application in concert with the backend platform and the UI framework teams. This includes working directly with Microsoft employees involved in Microsoft’s.Net Maui development effort. The usual activities that are associated with an architect/lead in terms of things like code reviews, mentoring, and guidance. Participation in quarterly planning, requirement and implementation assessments, and user story assessments. Working closely with business and UX design teams, as well as the Azure DevOps and the QA teams.
