About Doug Freeman

I serve as a business researcher, analyst, writer, publisher, and communications consultant. One of my specialties is providing non-fiction book ghostwriting services to entrepreneurs, business leaders, subject matter experts, and companies. Projects often support marketing, educational, and documentation efforts. Book topics have included corporate innovation, entrepreneurship, business fraud, technology, and health/wellness. Services range from developing a book\'s concept and creating a detailed outline to collaborating to write an initial draft and writing a complete book. I also engage with clients as a project-long advisor and to conduct content research. I use Gen AI very strategically and cautiously as a collaboration tool depending upon the project. It never replaces human writing, editing, and creativity. My wife MacKenzie Freeman and I also enjoy travel writing. Our books, articles, and videos are part of \"The Unguidebook™\" series. It\'s an unconventional storytelling based approach based on our world travels. See her posts at decades, I\'ve offered creative communications services to select clients worldwide. Most projects involve long-form writing and creative communications across all types of media. Past clients for my communications services range from Intel, Hewlett-Packard, and Southern Company to Oregon Health & Science University, Itron and the U.S. Department of Energy.I\'m the author of \"Smart Marketing for Solopreneurs and Microbusinesses\" featuring simple and effective steps to turn all of your communications into strategic marketing activities. He also authored \"Workarounds: 50+ insider tactics for age 50-plus entrepreneurs\" offering specific solutions for highly experienced self-employed professionals to navigate their marketplace and overcome age-related challenges. Both books are sold on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble (print and e-book). Excerpts have been featured on PBS Next Avenue, Forbes, and Freelancers Union.I\'ve been honored to serve on the management team at the nonprofit organization Mobility for Kids. We focus on placing innovative fitness and therapeutic exercise equipment, called Pumper Car vehicles, in schools nationwide at no cost through corporate donors. This supports schools\' adaptive and traditional PE programs, promoting fitness and inclusion. Donors enhance their community relations and marketing efforts. Details are at https://bit.ly/47jyPaw.

    Mobility For Kids

Jan 2016 — Present · Portland, OR, US

Mobility For Kids is a non-profit organization that\'s on a mission to help make therapeutic exercise more fun and beneficial for children with medical special needs, rehabilitation regimens, mobility limitations, and those at risk for childhood obesity. The current focus is our \"Help Drive Kids to Success\" program that leverages generous donations from businesses and individuals to provide free innovative physical therapy and interactive mobility equipment, called Pumper Car vehicles, to children’s hospitals, pediatric clinics, and schools across the nation. This is our creative way to support pediatric therapists, occupational therapists, pediatricians, and adapted P.E. teachers. In the future, we also aim to fund medical research on pediatric exercise therapy and mobility.See
