I teach MPS 743 Sustainable Hard Goods, a 2-credit course as part of the Masters in Professional Studies program in Sustainable Design. My course goes beyond the LEED rating system to explore the sustainability impact of material selection, including wood, stone, metal and solid surface composites.

ABOUT DOUG WEST
Doug joined TPG Architecture in 2015, and has over 25 years of corporate interiors experience. As a Studio Creative Director, Doug brings design vision, strategic planning and market awareness to his team leadership role. With a passion for creating spaces that reset market expectations, he maintains strong partnerships with a number of the city’s premier ownership and brokerage teams to reposition and enhance the value of existing properties. Within his corporate interiors portfolio, Doug led the design effort on a range of projects, including: Blue Wolf Capital Partners, Broadridge, Douglas Elliman and Fragomen. Prior to joining TPG Architecture, notable clients included Harvard University, Angelo Gordon, Deloitte, DLA Piper, New Doha International Airport, American Express and MedImmune.Doug received a BS in Interior Design from Cornell University. He is an NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer and a LEED Accredited Professional. His work has been published in Interior Design, Contract and Commercial Interiors magazines as well as several monographs. He is a faculty member at the New York School of Interior Design.He resides in Manhattan with his wife, children and family dog.
