About Doug Weaver

I began in the commercial photography industry in 1985. I began coordinating merchandise from Frederick and Nelson in Seattle to DHY Studios in Fremont. I worked with buyers as well as coordinators at their in house advertising department. I worked for Pay\'n Save Drug Stores in Seattle as their Photography Coordinator. Leaving on July of 1992 to start working for The Bon March\'. At the Bon I started as a Merchandise Coordinator, moved out of the studio to the 8th floor as The Digital Image Coordinator. My last position at the Bon was as Direct Mail/Mixed Media Coordinator. I left the Bon in July of to work freelance. I worked as a freelance producer for Eddie Bauer Home for studio and location shoots. As well as some Photo Assisting work. Since 2004 I\'ve been working with Bill Holt Photography as a Digital Photo Assistant for Pottery Barn Kids. We work mostly in greater San Francisco. We do mostly location shoots but also do some studio work. I enjoy the challenges of working on location. Aways something new to figure out! I love working all the different crews as well the team spirit that the crews generate. Theres always so much to do on a shoot that it makes it nice when everyone is on the same page and able to see the big picture. Implementing, coordinating, execution, follow through, and wrap up! All important to a successful shoot.
