Currently working as part of the Cloud Platform Team, supporting and enhancing platform, pipelines and cloud infrastructure across the organisation utilising tools such as AWS, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Python, Terraform amongst others,Previously working within the DevOps Chapter assigned to the Jupiter Team focusing on pricing/quoting for insurance services.• Enhancing and maintaining the platform for the Quote Engine Product based on AWS EC2, Linux and Windows instances using Configuration as Code with Terraform.• Working closely with the engineers on data enrichment micro-services utilising Docker, Kubernetes and Rancher.• Developing utilities to help support the above platforms using Python and Go with the Kubernetes API.• Assisting with the development of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Gitlab.• Working closely with software engineering squads promoting DevOps best practice and agile working.• Proven ability to learn new tech as returning to a 100% hands-on role I have picked up a large number of new technologies in a short space of time.

I am an experienced technology professional with over twenty five years\' experience, in DevOps, Cloud, Development, Support and Operations.I have worked in hands on roles as a Developer and a Cloud Engineer, and also have over a decade\'s experience as a Technical Manager/Team Leader. I have developed a rich experience from working in a variety of work places including: an award winning innovative insurance company, a disruptive finance company, a leading global information provider, a major international law firm, a small software company, the NHS and the Communicable Disease Surveillance Centre. I have experience operating in agile environments using DevOps tools and practices, as well as large formal ITIL based environments, and helping the different worlds co-exist together. My experience in both development, operations and cloud/devops roles gives me a unique insight into the full life cycle of the product. It has helped me develop an appreciation of the needs of paying customers, and internal stakeholders, as well as the challenges of a working in a fast moving development environment. In my spare time I also passionately study blockchain technologies, and perform crypto-currency financial analysis using Python and other tools.
