ABOUT DOUG LEWIS
A chartered geologist with over 25yrs experience in the geotechnical, geology and geo-environmental consultancy sector. My aim is to work on exciting projects that drive innovation, improve safety, as well as manage cost and risk sustainably. Currently working for Mott MacDonald as a technical director in Auckland, New Zealand. Experience has been gained in New Zealand, Australia and the UK working on major civil engineering projects involving site investigation, geotechnical design and construction supervision. My role on commercial, highway, airport and railway projects include client liaison and quality management as well as delegating work to suitably qualified and experienced team members to deliverer feasibility reports, desk studies, ground investigations including, design, procurement, supervision and contract management; factual reporting, interpretative and engineering design reports. Design checking includes, ground improvements, soil nails, rock bolts, slope stability, earthworks, detailed foundation design, retaining walls, validation reports.
