About Doug Larue
I am the EMS Manager at Lima Memorial Health System. I manage and come up with creative ideas to keep our EMS Community interested in the many facets of EMS. I am in my 32nd year in the EMS profession. We currently have medical direction for 25 departments in the region. We are very proud of our EMS program. Not only do we offer many activities throughout the year for our EMS Community, we also work closely with our local law enforcement on our Narcan project. I am very proud of our EMS initiatives at Lima Memorial Health Systems. As the EMS Chief (now retired as Chief) of USV Alger EMS, I was in charge of the day to day activities of my department. This includes, but not limited to, grant writing, employment, administrative duties, and also implementing policies and procedures for the department. Prior to being the EMS Manager, I was the Emergency Center Physician Coordinator. I was in charge of onboarding new physicians, PA\'s, and CNP\'s in our emergency department. I worked very closely with many billing companies as well. I also worked as the main liaison for the EC Physicians group here at LMHS. I was responsible for the monthly reports and spreadsheets for the Emergency Center and track trends in the ER. I provided administrative support to the Emergency Center Medical Director. I work with many facets at LMHS to ensure exceptional and timely responses between the ER physicians group and the entire hospital.
