Dignity Network Canada is a national coalition of Canadian organizations involved in or interested in advancing human rights for people around the globe on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity & expression and sex characteristics (SOGIESC). The network brings together 60 Canadian organizations for shared advocacy, community building, networking and public engagement. The network is a federally incorporated non-profit organization with staff in Montreal and Toronto.

ABOUT DOUG KERR

Doug Kerr is the Executive Director of Dignity Network Canada, a national coalition of Canadian organizations involved in the advancement of human rights for LGBTIQ people globally. Dignity Network Canada brings together 65 organizations from across Canada to educate, advocate and engage on human rights. In previous roles, he has been a grant program manager, organizational development consultant, college professor and community organizer. Originally from Alberta, he has been based in Toronto for 25 years. Doug is an active volunteer on a number of Boards and committees and has contributed his time and expertise to organizations such as Sherbourne Health Centre, Rainbow Railroad, the Toronto Enterprise Fund, Pride Toronto, Community One Foundation, the LGBT Giving Network, Fierté Pride Canada, InterPride & the WorldPride Human Rights Forum in Copenhagen. He is passionate about international human rights & LGBTIQ civil society in Canada. Doug also spent six years living in Taiwan and speaks Mandarin Chinese. Doug has won a number of awards for his community work including the Queen\'s Diamond Jubilee Award and the Steinart and Ferreiro Award for Community Leadership.
