Member of engineering team building 125ksf plant to recycle lithium-ion batteries and return battery grade lithium, cobalt and nickel back into the battery supply chain by creating high quality precursor and cathode active materials. This is the largest lithium-ion battery recycling plant in North America. • Designed and built battery discharge system to deenergize cells, modules and packs prior to recycling. Energy is returned to the grid to reduce electricity use and carbon footprint. • Three patent applications have been filed for innovations employed in battery discharge systems.
