Doug has over 30 years of shared services implementation and governance, financial reporting, internal audit and internal controls experience. From March 2011 to current, Doug is working at Abbott Laboratories and has been focusing on the integrating the Alere acquisition into Abbott as well as the establishment of finance & accounting shared services, including vendor selection and negotiation, outsourcing implementation and shared services governance.While at Deloitte from 20••••11, Doug was actively involved in several Deloitte & Touche national efforts related to the development of the firm’s Sarbanes-Oxley methodologies, development of support tools, and training development and delivery programs. Doug also has assisted several of the firm’s clients by leading Sarbanes-Oxley readiness projects and remediation programs. In addition to client responsibilities, Doug served in regional and national risk management roles, which include licensing, contracting and negotiations.Prior to joining Deloitte in 2002, Doug served some of Arthur Andersen’s largest public clients, including Abbott Laboratories, SPX Corporation, and Brunswick Corporation, in the role of lead external audit manager. He is experienced with acquisitions and divestitures, due diligence, and relevant accounting issues resulting from related acquisitions.
