ABOUT FEDERICA VERNUCCIO

Federica Vernuccio achieved the degree in Medicine at the University of Palermo (Full marks with honours: 110/110 cum laude) in 2012 and specialization in Radiology in 2018. In 20••••16 she was a visiting resident in the Radiology department of Beaujon Hospital in France. In 20••••18 she was a research fellow at Duke University, in North Carolina (USA). In 2019 she achieved the Italian scientific certification for Associate Professor in Radiology, she became Fellow of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) and was awarded the ESGAR Certificate of Excellence in Abdominal Radiology Level II. In 2021, she got her PhD at University of Palermo and at Université de Paris, an was entitled as Doctor Europaeus. As radiologist, she worked as abdominal radiologist at the University Hospital of Palermo from 2020 to November 2021. From November 15, 2021, she is staff radiologist at the Radiology Department of the University Hospital of Padua. She won more than 10 awards in International conferences, and wrote more than 70 publications of full-length papers in international journals with impact factor, including Radiology, AJR and European Radiology. H-index 19. Her main clinical and research interests are hepato-biliary tumours. She is a strong supporter of equity, diversity and equality in academics.
