Shalom Community Center changed its organizational name to Beacon, Inc. to better reflect the breadth of services and support we offer people living in poverty. Shalom Center lives on in the name of our day shelter, one of the six major program we operate. Phil\'s Kitchen provides hunger relief, Friend\'s Place is our overnight emergency shelter, Street Outreach allows staff to go out into the community - where people are camping - to bring services to them, Rapid Re-Housing staff work to get people into their own homes, and Crawford Homes is permanent supportive housing for homeless people who have long-term disabilities.This mission is my passion and I feel as if I have finally come home.See more at: http://beaconinc.org
