I engage in a wide variety of federal, state, and local, and international tax and business planning and special projects for a large affiliated group with revenues in access of $10B including business combinations, internal financing, cross-border and transfer pricing, accounting method changes, nexus studies, credits, and refunds opportunities. I assists in the analysis of current and new tax law and its applicability to CN and the implementation of law changes and new tax positions while minimizing the impact to CN. I am responsible for the compliance with the Tax Reform matters including Earnings and Profits (E&P) studies and Global Intangible Low-Taxed (GILTI) calculations for Controlled Foreign Corporations (CFCs) as well as all non-US subsidiaries of the parent Company and minimizing the impact of Base Erosion and Anti-abuse Tax. I manage outsourced projects such as Research and Development (R&D) Credit Studies. Also, I manage audit defense for material and sensitive positions and assists with litigations. In addition, I respond to inquiries related to Sales and Use, Payroll, Fuel, and Excise Tax Laws. I manage the application of the US Sales and Use and Tax laws including audit defense, process improvement, determination of applicable exemptions and documentation requirements, credits and refunds opportunities, look-back reviews, review contracts with vendors and suppliers as well as provide assistance in a new process and/or software implementations including Applications and Procedures (SAP) ARIBA, Field Glass, and AMIS. etc. My responsibilities include also the response to technical questions from internal and external business partners and government entities on the variety of business and tax matters.

I have over twenty years of both Public Accounting and Corporate tax experience. At my current position at CN, I engage in a wide variety of federal, state, and international tax and business planning and special projects. I mange audits by various tax authorities and assist with litigations. I manage the application of the sales and use tax law in many tax jurisdictions and respond to internal and external inquiries in the sales and use tax, excise tax, fuel tax, and payroll tax matters. Prior to joining CN, I was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young LLP and True Partners Consulting LLC where I engaged in a wide variety of federal tax consulting projects with an expertise in capitalization, tax accounting methods, domestic production deduction, transaction cost studies, and research credit studies. I also assisted on engagements involving tax controversies including assessing audit risks, developing audit strategy, and representing clients before government authorities. I have managed numerous tax projects for middle market to Fortune 500 companies across a variety of industries. I also gained experience in federal tax compliance, tax accounting, implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley control processes, as well as IRS controversy and audit defense.
