Dr. Vidal-Dorsch\'s experience and training includes aquatic toxicology, invertebrate taxonomy, field biology, engineering, analytical chemistry, and physiology. As a member of the Toxicology Department at SCCWRP, she specializes in studies to understand the relationship between sediment contamination and biological effects. Her current research includes the development of methods to identify toxic constituents in sediments, studies of contaminant bioavailability, and the assessment of biochemical and molecular responses to environmental contaminants such as endocrine disruptors and other contaminants of emerging concern in wild fish populations.
