Together, we can #UNITE2FIGHT HONORAt AEF events, a kid with cancer is the distinguished Honorary Team Captain, providing an opportunity to benefit from the strength and support the team environment provides. They are given a once-in-a-lifetime experience to benefit from the support and energy that comes from professional or collegiate athletics, creating an incredibly dynamic and powerfully inspiring memory that they can carry with them through treatment.INSPIREHonorary Team Captains attend pre-game practice, receive a personalized team jersey, visit the locker-room, attend coaches pregame talks, walk on the field or court with the team, watch warmups from the players bench. They also have their name featured on the jumbotron, call the captains coin-toss, receive autographed team gear, event photos and their family receives VIP treatment. The fight against cancer affects every person in the family, and we are proud to extend the same game-day treatment to siblings of our cancer fighters, we are #siblingstrong.
