About Devin Oreilly
Devin O\'Reilly is a graduate of Merrimack College, where he earned a bachelor’s in health science with a concentration in Athletic Training. While at Merrimack College, Devin excelled as a student-athlete. A two-year captain on the Merrimack Football team and a student who earned a cumulative graduating GPA of 3.8, he embraced what it meant to be a student-athlete. At Merrimack, Devin left his mark. In Athletics, O\'Reilly received the Travis G. Kong award, awarded to a senior that had a tremendous impact on the school community. In addition, the Merrimack College Football Team has renamed the spirit award to the Devin O\'Reilly Spirit award. While in the Athletic Training Program, O\'Reilly represented Merrimack at the national level, serving as a District 1 Student representative at the NATA conference and graciously welcomed the opportunity to represent Merrimack in a sit-down with renowned neuropathologist Dr. Ann Mckee. Post-graduation, Devin leveraged his degree to earn a Teaching Fellowship at the prestigious Phillips Academy Andover. Upon completion of his second year as a Teaching Fellow, Devin advanced his career to become a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer and Physical Education teacher for the institution. In addition to his extensive athletic training and teaching experience, Devin earned a Corrective Exercise certification, which he has used to assist the Philips Academy Strength and Conditioning program.Since his arrival at Philips Academy, Devin has excelled and established himself as a professional in the athletic training field. Since 2019, Devin has been welcomed to sit upon public health committees and advisory boards. He has also received the Olivia Teaching Fellowship Award as a stand-out faculty member at Phillips Academy.Since his arrival in 2018, Devin\'s skills and knowledge are continuing to improve. His ability to connect concepts to actions, the capability to prevent injury, differentially diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate athletes are all advancing. He continues to create a supportive and motivational atmosphere that enables him to treat student-athletes \' minds, bodies, and spirits. Devin continues to inspire, motivate and encourage whole-person growth through the world of athletic training. Most importantly, Devin understands the idea that when treating a student-athlete, they don\'t care about how much you know until they know how much you care.
