ABOUT DORCAS BAAH
Dorcas is a pupil barrister at St John’s Chambers, specialising in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. Dorcas read Law at the University of Edinburgh before completing an LLM in International Law at University College London, graduating with distinction in both degrees. She subsequently completed the GDL and Bar Vocational Studies course at City Law School and was awarded the Gray’s Inn Dame Joyanne Bracewell GDL Scholarship and the Venetia Stephenson Bar Course Scholarship.Dorcas has gained a broad range of legal experience. She worked as a Legal Assistant at the Law Society of England and Wales, as an in-house Paralegal for Universities UK, and completed an internship at the UK Supreme Court. Most recently, she served as a Judicial Assistant at the High Court.Dorcas represented Gray’s Inn in the 2024 Jessup Moot Competition, reaching the national quarter-finals. She has undertaken multiple mini-pupillages and marshalling placements, and has won several mooting competitions at both Edinburgh Law School and during her Bar studies, reflecting her strong advocacy and analytical skills.Dorcas is incredibly passionate about promoting and championing diversity within the legal profession.Outside of law, Dorcas enjoys writing poetry and creating faith-based content on her social media platforms.
