About Donovan Bonner

I am currently an Associate General Counsel for Brand Marketing at Nike, where I provide legal guidance and support for the global marketing strategy and campaigns of the iconic sports brand. I have a strong background and interest in brand marketing, sports and entertainment law, social networking, and communication, as well as a passion for diversity and inclusion. I have contributed to multiple projects and initiatives that have enhanced the brand image, reputation, and engagement of Nike and its partners, such as athletes, influencers, and media outlets. I have also collaborated with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, risk management, and best practices in all marketing activities and materials. My mission is to leverage my legal and marketing expertise, as well as my diversity skills, to create innovative and impactful solutions that inspire and empower people through sports and culture.Prior to Nike, I worked at various private law firms where I represented employers in employment advice and litigation, serving private and public entities, including higher education institutions. In those roles I worked on a wide range of employment issues and litigation, including trade secrets, wrongful termination, discrimination, policy review, workplace investigations, and Title IX.
